2019 District 53 Conference

Saturday, May 18, 2019 - The Desmond Hotel Albany

The Path of Excellence – A Road Less Traveled

At this year's conference, we‘re pulling out all the stops! The conference committee is working feverishly to make this conference memorable.

Opening Ceremonies with Keynote Speaker
Ted Corcoran, Past International President

Ted Corcoran served as Toastmasters International 2003-2004 President, the first, and only, European, to do so in the 90 year history of the organization.

Is Your Song Still Unsung?

In his keynote address, Ted uses his title as a metaphor for lost and unrealized potential. He asks if your bucket list is getting longer or shorter; if you still believe your dreams are your possibilities; and do you always say ‘Yes’ to growth opportunities?

Path to Excellence through Goal Setting
Brandon Eastman

Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible - the foundation for all success in life. What does a fulfilling life look like for you? In this workshop, you will learn the science behind effective goal-setting, as well as HOW to use the Success Formula to achieve your desires.

So often, we are caught up in the trap of making a living, rather than designing a LIFE! Together we will set goals in 4 Key areas of our life. We will develop and set in motion a plan for massive & consistent action towards its fulfillment. Together, we will take charge of our destiny!

Heather Turner

Pathways Challenges and Solutions
Heather Turner

With the current education program sunsetting in June 2020, Understanding the new educational program PATHWAYS is the ultimate goal for this workshop. Learning how to navigate the logistics of this new education program can be challenging but it doesn't have to be.

In this workshop, Heather will assist the audience to become more comfortable and knowledgable about PATHWAYS. She will cover many of the common questions members have asked and provide solid solutions to assist the audience in resolving any concerns they may have with navigating the Pathways program. In addition, for those members who are resistant to embracing Pathways, she will offer strategies in providing solutions for engaging a member long term with the new educational program.

Carol Vincie
